My name is Ulrich (Uli) Kozok, and I am Associate Professor and coodinator of the Indonesian-Malay Language Program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Areas of interest include palaeography of Island Southeast Asia, Sumatran philology, Indonesian and Malay language and literature, e-learning, and technology enhanced language teaching.

Ulrich Kozok (lazim dipanggil 'Pak Uli') adalah profesor bahasa dan sastra Melayu/Indonesia di Universitas Hawaii dengan bidang keahlian sejarah tulisan (paleografi) di kawasan Nusantara, pernaskahan (filologi) khususnya Batak dan Kerinci (Sumatra), bahasa dan sastra Melayu/Indonesia, BIPA (bahasa Indonesia untuk penutur asing), dan teknologi pembelajaran.

  Malay: Excellent listening and reading comprehension, including Arabic (Jawi) and Sumatran Surat Ulu scripts. ACTFL Speaking Scale: Advanced High
  Batak: Intermediate mid-high speaking and listening comprehension, but excellent reading comprehension in Karo Batak; limited speaking, but good reading competence in Angkola, Mandailing, Pakpak, Simalungun, Toba, including the Batak scripts.
